NORTH COAST BALI — Bedugul, Singaraja (about 9 hours )
This tour takes you to Pacung village to enjoy the beautiful countryside. You will then continue on to Bedugul fruit and flower markets. Next stop is Ulun Danu Temple, dedicated to the goddess of the lake, revered for her powers of fertility and favours the people with the vital water of the lake. Visit Gitgit village and walk down approx. 500 metres to see the waterfall. You will drive along the coast and a stop will be made for lunch (not included in tour price) at Lovina black sand beach. Next visit is to Banjar hot springs. Bring your swimming costume if you want to use the hot spring pools. The return journey takes you to Pupuan, through spectacular terraced rice fields.

CENTRAL BALI TOUR — Kintamani, Lake and volcano Batur (about 8 hours)
First stop is Batubulan village to watch the colourful and exciting Barong dance. Then we visit Celuk, renowned for its intricate gold and silver works; on to Mas,a village famous for its impressive woodcarvings. We continue the drive through beautiful terraced ricefields at Tegallalang village and make a stop at Sebatu holyspring temple. We drive up to Kintamani village for lunch (not included in the tour price) and enjoy the spectacular views of the active volcano and the crater lake, Lake Batur, with black lava running down from the top of the crater to the lake. The return route takes you to the elephant cave temple in Bedulu village. It was a Budhist hermitage dating back to 11th century. Finally to Ubud, where many local and western artists have settled; it's time to see various different style of paintings in one of art galleries.

EAST COAST MOUNTAIN TOUR — Besakih temple (about 8 hours)
This tour take you to Klungkung, to visit Bale Kambang (floating pavilion) and Kerta Gosa (the hall of justice) with its elaborately painted ceiling in wayang (puppet-style) with murals in red, gold, and black. The scenes depict the punishments and rewards for the souls in the next world. We drive further along the coast and stop at Tenganan village; one of the original Bali "Aga" villages. We continue on to Besakih temple. It's considered as the "Mother Temple" of Bali, located on the slopes of the highest mountain, Mt. Agung. A stop will be made for lunch (not included in tour price) at Bukit Jambul , a restaurant overlooking beautiful countryside.

MOUNT BATUKARU and JATILUWIH — (about 8 hours)
Escape into the heart of Balinese wet rice cultivation and the beauty of Balinese nature. We first stop at the Butterfly Park in Wanasari village, before driving up to the slope of the second highest mountain, Mt. Batukaru, where the tranquil Luhur Temple is located. We explore the beautiful countryside of the fertile volcanic foothills around Jatiluwih village. We stop for lunch ( not included in tour price) at the restaurant in Pacung .

MONKEY FOREST and TANAH LOT — (about 6 hours)
This afternoon tour will take you to visit the Royal Temple of Mengwi called Taman Ayun. This is one of the largest temples in Bali and is surrounded by a water filled moat. The next stop is Kedaton Monkey forest, where hundreds of wild monkeys and fruit bats hang on the big trees. Your tour ends up by visiting Tanah Lot temple, located on a volcanic rock by the sea. This is a popular site, particularly late in the afternoon for its stunning sunset, around 6.15 pm. ( See also the picture under the web page Temples ).

DENPASAR CITY TOUR — (about 4 hours)
Make a half day visit to the capital of Bali, Denpasar. Stop at the Bali Art Centre, which is one of the best permanent exhibitions of paintings and woodcarvings. Take a walk around "Pasar" the local market and also visit the Bali Museum, with its art collection from prehistoric time to early 20th century; see scale models of rituals in Hindu beliefs which are also on display. The last stop is at a modern supermarket in Denpasar.

EVENING KECAK and TRANCE DANCE
Drive to Batubulan village to see three Balinese dances:

  • Kecak Dance : performed by over 30 people; this dance is accompanied by the famous Ramayana epic.
    ( an ancient Hindu epic from India).
  • Sanghyang Dance : traditional Balinese dance to discourage negative forces and to promote peace within village.
  • .
  • Fire Dance : the dancers go into a trance and are able to dance on burning coconut shells without feeling any pain.

    Sharing Tours
    Tours are based on Seat In Coach which means that you will probably join with other people from other hotels. Minimum number is two people. Private Tours with your own guide are available to ANY destination in Bali - just contact Jumena.

    Transportation
    All vehicles used will be clean and air conditioned. Driver and Tour Guide, with good command of English or other second language, will accompany you throughout your tour.
