BeamPal 2

About Peter Pallett

BeamPal 2
System Requirements

The BeamPal program is supplied either on a CD Rom disc or on a memory stick with an executable Setup file.

Requires a processor running the Windows operating system, and is known to run successfully on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 11.
The executable Setup file was generated under Windows XP so that BeamPal 2 is compatible with most Windows operating systems - Although BeamPal 2 also runs on the Windows 8 operating system, known bug can hinder the help file facility.

The help facility requires either access to a *.pdf file reader program (such as Adobe Reader. ) and/or direct access to the internet.

Known
Windows 8
Bug
When running under Windows 8 it is not possible to hyperlink directly to the help file from WITHIN BeamPal. It is a known Windows 8 bug as it defaults to an automatic in-built Windows pdf reader!
It is perfectly possible to open the help pdf file in a separate window.
(There is correspondence on the web about this problem, so it may get fixed by a future Microsoft Windows update! )

Minimum 128 Mb RAM, suitable hard disk, and either a CD Drive or a USB 2 socket.

Colour monitor with screen resolution minimum 800 x 600 pixels.
For users with larger screen formats (e.g. 1920 x 1080 pixels) the main program window will be centralised on the screen, and will appear in front of any other open windows.

The BeamPal program is designed as a standalone program for an individual laptop, notebook or PC, and after installation, runs as a single-user executable file.
The registered Single-User is, of course, allowed to make and use a backup copy of this program; for example on a work and a home (PC or laptop) because it's the user that is licensed.

(Note: BeamPal is not available in either Mac format or as a multi-user version for Windows Network operation.)
